Join us for an intimate reading of Kwansabas for Fannie Lou Hamer, a tribute to Fannie Lou Hammer by Treasure Williams.
Ms. Williams is a published writer and educator, teaching at SWIC.
The “kwansaba” is a poetic style developed by the Poet Laureate of East St. Louis: Eugene B. Redmond. A kwansaba is seven lines of seven words, with each word containing not more than seven letters.
